Shenzhen, a pioneering city in child-friendly practices, will host the first Child Friendly Expo under the theme of "City & Children" at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District from Dec. 7 to 9, according to Shenzhen Women's Federation.

The expo will feature themed and industrial exhibitions, and initiate a child-friendly design award, comprehensively showcasing China's achievements in building child-friendly cities and creating an international platform for exchanges in this domain, according to Yang Hua, an official from the federation.

The themed exhibition, located in Hall 2 of the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, will feature six areas displaying nearly 100 exemplary cases from both domestic and international sources on the subject of building child-friendly cities.

Meanwhile, 22 child-friendly art installations will be set up and a selection of Shenzhen's child-friendly public projects will be on display. Twenty-two child-friendly social organizations will participate with 25 quality projects.

The industrial exhibition will gather leading children-related enterprises to showcase cost-effective and high-quality children's products, integrate industrial resources, and help optimize and upgrade relevant industries.

Concurrently, the first Children Baby Maternity Expo Greater Bay Area will take place during the expo, featuring foreign exhibitors from countries such as New Zealand, Australia, Norway, the U.S., Japan, France, Denmark, the U.K., the Netherlands, and South Korea.

Renowned experts from various fields, along with officials from UNICEF, have been invited to participate in professional seminars, high-end interviews, and crossover dialogues to strengthen exchanges and mutual learning.
