Qianhai should strengthen cooperation with Hong Kong in its development to achieve a win-win situation, said Qu Weixi, vice president of the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Ministry of Commerce, in Qianhai on Sunday.
Qu visited Qianhai with some 20 other experts from a number of State-level think tanks before attending a symposium.
Qu was impressed with Qianhai’s fast development over the past few years following strengthened cooperation with Hong Kong.
“Hong Kong has had advantages in finance, international trade, logistics and the service trade sector,” said Qu. “A lot of high-end talented workers across the world have been attracted to Hong Kong, which has a world-class business environment.”
Qianhai had made substantial development since the inauguration of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone. He said Qianhai should strengthen the cooperation with Hong Kong.
“Cross-border cooperation will boost the development of both Qianhai and Hong Kong,” he said. “It will be a win-win situation.”
