More than 140 bronzeware pieces on loan from the National Museum of China, one of the largest museums in the world, are being exhibited at Shenzhen Museum. Entry is free.

The National Museum of China in Beijing, covering Chinese history from 1.7 million years ago to the end of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), has a permanent collection of 1 million precious and rare artifacts. Bronze art has a long and lustrous history in China, lasting 4,000 years from the Xia Dynasty (2070-1600 B.C.) to today.
The National Museum of China not only has a very large bronze collection but also includes all types of bronzes, including vessels, weapons, musical instruments, implements, agricultural tools, horse and chariot fittings and all sorts of everyday objects. As a manifestation of the politics, economics, culture and life of their time, this is an important repository for the study of history, art and technology, and a precious cultural heritage for the development of human civilization.
