First direct air link opens between Shenzhen and Central Asia

The first direct air link between Shenzhen and Tashkent opened March 30 as Uzbekistan Airways flight HY575 from Tashkent arrived at Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport at 7:50 a.m., carrying nearly 200 passengers.
The new service marks the carrier’s first passenger route in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and is also the first international passenger route launched at the Shenzhen airport this year. The route operates once a week. The outbound flight departs Shenzhen on Mondays at 9:10 a.m., arriving in Tashkent at 1:30 p.m., while the return flight leaves Tashkent on Sundays at 10:10 p.m. and lands in Shenzhen at 7:40 a.m. the following day.
