Citizens with Shenzhen permanent residence permits or permanent residence permits from other cities in Guangdong Province can handle their ID card-related services on the self-service machines in Shenzhen, sznews.com reported Saturday.
Residents can find self-service machine locations through the Shenzhen Municipal Public Security Bureau’s WeChat account “szga-110” (深圳公安).
Shenzhen citizens who are over 16 years old, have passed the real-name authentication on the WeChat account, and own a second-generation ID card with fingerprint information issued by the municipal public security organs can also apply for a new ID card online.
The ID card will be sent by express delivery after applicants pass examination and approval.
In addition, there are seven circumstances in which the self-service ID card application are not applicable. They include first-time application for second-generation ID cards, applicants under 16 and the applicant’s fingerprint information cannot be collected.
