Gigantic tube put in place as part of SZ-Zhongshan Link

An engineering vessel works to put an immersed tube, Tube E11, in place as part of Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link on Monday. The tube’s installment marks the completion of 1,773.5 meters of the link’s immersed tube tunnel. The 165-meter-long, 46-meter-wide and 10.6-meter-high Tube E11, weighs 80,000 tons, and was docked with Tube E10 in 22 hours, breaking the record for the time needed in transporting and installing an immersed tube to the link.
