A photo exhibition of the city’s parks opened yesterday in the exhibition hall atop Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District.
The photo exhibition shows the history of the city’s parks. Some of the selected photos being presented in the exhibition were taken by residents, according to the municipal park management center.
Photos were arranged in a layout based on park categories, including comprehensive, theme, country, pocket, linear and community.
At present, Shenzhen has a total of 1,206 parks of all these types across the city.
An area was set up in the exhibition hall for suggestions on park construction.
Residents can also join a photo collection event to win a chance to have their photos shown at the exhibition.
The photos selection is divided into two categories, landscape and humanistic.
Each resident can submit as many as five photographs under each category. The collection has opened and will run until Sept. 13.
In addition, residents can pick up a sketch book showing the parks’ scenery at the exhibition hall atop Lianhua Hill Park and in nine other parks including Shenzhen Bay Park, Shenzhen Litchi Park, and Xiangmi Park. A total of 2,000 of these sketch books are available for residents.
Residents can also use the sketch book to collect stamps of different parks. The first 200 residents who successfully collect at least five park stamps before Sept. 21 can earn a gift from the park management center.
Event information and details for entry of the photo collection event are available through WeChat official accounts, mlszgzh and szscgj6.
