The new hall of Shenzhen Cultural Center, hailed as a new urban cultural landmark with the design concept of "A Boat of Culture, An Art Village Above the Clouds", is scheduled to officially open for trial operation on September 28.
Located in Minzhi Subdistrict, Longhua District, the new hall covers a total construction area of approximately 83,300 square meters. It is currently the largest cultural center in China by single-building floor area.
The hall's performance zone houses a grand theater, a small theater, a black box theater, a multi-functional hall, and professional rehearsal rooms. It will host diverse cultural events including theatrical performances, concerts and stand-up comedy shows.
The training zone is equipped with 29 standard training classrooms and 12 piano rooms. The fully furnished venues support targeted courses covering dance, opera, pottery creation, piano and fine arts, catering to various arts and lifestyle aesthetics.
The exhibition zone is located on the basement, fourth and sixth floors, consisting of flexible multi-functional exhibition halls and a dedicated intangible cultural heritage exhibition area. It will regularly stage various art exhibitions and intangible cultural heritage promotion activities.
In addition, the hall includes a reading zone, equipped with reading rooms, self-study areas and themed literary book bars, as well as a creative zone with professional recording and video studios. Meanwhile, catering and convenient public services are also provided to ensure a comfortable visiting experience for the public.
The open plaza zone includes public leisure plazas, youth activity plazas and art exhibition plazas, which can accommodate large-scale public cultural activities, art exchanges and mass cultural events.
