The Bantian Culture and Sports Center in Longgang District is putting the final touches on construction and is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2026.

Strategically located near the intersection of Jiaxian Road and Banlan Avenue, the complex spans about 12,000 square meters of land, with a total floor area of approximately 73,000 square meters. It is designed as a one-stop destination combining sports, e-sports, cultural performances, and supporting retail and dining options.

The center’s cultural facilities include a proscenium-stage theater with 349 fixed seats, complete with rehearsal rooms, VIP lounges, and dressing rooms. Art lovers can explore a roughly 400-square-meter exhibition hall outfitted with professional lighting, while a two-story library covering about 6,580 square meters offers reading spaces and an academic lecture hall.

For sports, the center offers a diverse range of venues. These include a 12-meter-high badminton hall with 10 standard courts, and a 15.64-meter-high climbing gym featuring two speed routes and two difficulty routes, with a bouldering wall to be added at a later stage. A 10-meter-high basketball hall contains two standard courts that can also be converted into eight badminton courts. Additionally, a table tennis hall covering about 940 square meters can accommodate around 20 tables. A multi-purpose smart sports hall, with a main area of roughly 1,500 square meters, is equipped with 1,056 retractable seats and a quad-screen system, allowing it to host small-scale sporting events or be transformed into an e-sports arena.

Architecturally, the building is encircled by a double-helix running track that extends to the rooftop, offering joggers views into the interior activity spaces. An ecological rooftop garden provides outdoor leisure space, while a sunken plaza is connected to upper levels via curved staircases and ramps.
