The WESEMiBAY Semiconductor Ecosystem Expo 2025 will be held from October 15 to October 17 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District.
The expo aims to be a platform for the deep integration of global semiconductor industry chains, supply chains, and value chains, according to Guo Ziping, director of the Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission.
Following a successful inaugural event last year that featured 40,000 square meters of exhibition space and 400 leading global companies, this year’s expo aims for “higher standards, broader reach, deeper integration, and better service,” according to Guo.
The exhibition area will expand to over 60,000 square meters, with more than 600 participating companies, positioning Shenzhen as a global hub for observing industry innovation, market trends, and business cooperation.
The event will introduce several high-end forums, including the International Workshop on Advanced Patterning Solutions and an academic conference about chips.
It will also offer customized one-on-one meetings and dedicated matchmaking services to enhance engagement between exhibitors and attendees.
Beyond core exhibition zones for wafer manufacturing and advanced packaging, the expo will feature three specialized areas: AI chips and edge computing ecosystems, RISC-V ecosystems, and Chiplet and advanced packaging ecosystems.
The event has attracted over 600 leading enterprises and renowned universities from more than 20 countries.
Official delegations and corporate representatives from Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea have been invited to participate in forums, including an international supply and demand matching conference focused on the global expansion of Chinese manufacturing.
The expo will also implement an upgraded year-round resource connection service, integrating online, in-exhibition, and offline platforms.
Shenzhen’s semiconductor and integrated circuit industry has continued to grow rapidly. The city’s industry scale reached 256.4 billion yuan (US$36 billion) in 2024, a 26.8% year-on-year increase.
In the first half of 2025, the industry scale grew to 142.4 billion yuan, up 16.9% from the same period last year.
Significant developments were also reported in Longgang District, where the number of enterprises related to the semiconductor and integrated circuit industry chain has grown to 215, forming an industrial scale of hundreds of billions of yuan.
Additionally, Longgang will launch a major semiconductor industry cluster centered on Luoshan Technology Park. Located at the geometric center of the Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou region, the park covers 138 hectares with a planned construction area of 1.23 million square meters.
