A total of 122 investment projects with registered capital exceeding 14.8 billion yuan (US$2.12 billion) were settled in Longhua District in the first half of the year.
This achievement stems from in-depth discussions between Longhua and over 300 industry-leading enterprises and institutions, including Fortune Global 500 companies and China’s Top 500 Enterprises.
Delegations led by district officials have been actively seeking cooperation both domestically and internationally. Some visited countries such as Hungary and Poland to identify potential partners in sectors like new energy and high-end medical equipment, while others explored key industrial clusters in Beijing and Shanghai in search of new opportunities.
Notably, the district has organized more than 50 matchmaking events in cities including Harbin, Jinan, and Ningbo to support Longhua-based enterprises in expanding their domestic presence. In addition, it has collaborated with industry associations such as the Shenzhen Pet Industry Association to host business promotion events and participated in trade shows including the Global AI Device Expo 2025 to showcase Longhua’s industrial strengths to a global audience.
For enterprises and projects choosing to settle in Longhua, the district authority offers industrial spaces, a streamlined approval process, and one-on-one consultation services. It has identified several advantageous application scenarios that integrate favorable policies, industrial space availability, infrastructure, government services, and investment promotion resources. These efforts support the establishment of projects and enterprises that align with Longhua’s industrial landscape, further enhancing the district’s regional competitiveness.
According to a three-year work plan (2025-2027) aimed at accelerating Longhua’s development into a benchmark modern international district, the district will implement key actions across 10 areas — market, industry, enterprise, industrial park, platform, talent, urban development, services, culture and tourism, and promotion — with one flagship project from each area selected as part of this year’s 10 major initiatives.
Key initiatives will focus on supporting the overseas expansion of Longhua-based enterprises and attracting foreign-funded companies; promoting the internationalization of industrial parks, innovation incubators, maker spaces, and youth entrepreneurship bases; extending the global innovation network; strengthening international exchange and cooperation; and building the Longhua International Cooperation Center into a strong, recognizable brand.
Moving forward, Longhua District will actively seek support from municipal-level project resources to attract more major projects. Efforts will also be made to strengthen interdepartmental coordination and establish an efficient investment promotion mechanism to ensure smoother collaboration across all stages. The district will further improve its industrial space policies to create high-quality business spaces, enhance talent development, and innovate its investment attraction strategies.
