A hotline for young people from China’s Hong Kong to consult on matters related to entrepreneurship, employment, and life in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area was launched at the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub (E-hub) during an event Friday.

The hotline, reachable at 0755- 33300852, provides services in Mandarin and Cantonese from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Gary Tang, founder of Qianhai-based educational startup Airtutor, called the hotline to inquire about the qualifications needed for renting office space at the E-hub for one yuan (US$0.138) per sqm, as well as the official selection procedure for entrepreneurial teams under the policy.

“The hotline is extremely convenient for Hong Kong individuals visiting Qianhai and the mainland for the first time. After my consultation, the operator also invited me to add their WeChat account for further assistance,” he stated.

The event also featured a market fair showcasing various products from Hong Kong entrepreneurial teams based in Qianhai.

Francis So, co-founder of Food With Benefits Co. Ltd., presented their self-developed functional food products at the fair. “We hope to provide more people access to healthy natural food at an affordable price, empowering individuals to embrace a vibrant lifestyle,” he explained.

As a major entrepreneurial platform in Qianhai, the E-hub has incubated 1,395 entrepreneurial teams since its establishment, including 974 from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign countries.

On the same day, the first batch of startup firms signed contracts to receive investment from the 500-million-yuan (US$68.9 million) E-hub Fund, marking a significant step in the fund’s mission to support entrepreneurial projects with great development potential. The fund focuses on strategic emerging industries such as AI, embodied intelligence, and life and health technologies through direct investment and indirect investment via sub-funds.
