Introduction to the Park

On October 6, 1900, Mr. Sun Yat-sen launched an armed uprising in the Sanzhoutian area, Yantian District, fired the first shot to overthrow the feudal dictatorship of the Qing Dynasty, which is known as the "Gengzi Uprising." To commemorate this historical event, the Yantian District Government set out to build the Sun Yat-sen Gengzi Uprising Sculpture Park in December 2009. The park covers a total land area of about 7 hectares and has 18 sculptures, including a monument to the uprising and five themed group sculptures.
