In 2023, Luohu's regional GDP reached 280.82 billion yuan, marking a 7.2% increase year-on-year. Among the three major industries, finance contributed 103.36 billion yuan, commerce and trade 46.84 billion yuan, and leasing and business services 18.6 billion yuan. In its two signature industries, cultural and related industries contributed 17.48 billion yuan in added value, and the gold and jewelry industry contributed 9.23 billion yuan.
The total industrial output of enterprises above the designated size reached 70.37 billion yuan, while those in the service sector generated 159.06 billion yuan in operating revenue. Total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to 139.18 billion yuan.
By the end of the year, Luohu had a permanent population of approximately 1.03 million, with per capita GDP reaching 273,623 yuan.
