The Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center is the first foreign-related public legal assistance entity platform in Guangdong Province. It was established with the joint effort of the Justice Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality and the Shenzhen Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, and was founded by Shekou Subdistrict.
The Shekou Foreign Legal Assistance Center is located on the first floor in the wing of Shekou Building, Shekou Subdistrict, Nanshan District, Shenzhen, and opened Sept. 24, 2019.
The center provides public welfare legal services for Chinese and foreign residents, including foreign-related legal consultation. foreign-related dispute mediation and foreign-related notarization, foreign-related visa consultation, foreign-related tax consultation, foreign-related psychology consultation and foreign-related employment consultation.
There are 18 professional lawyer volunteers on duty by turn in the center who are proficient in English, Japanese and Korean. They can help foreign residents in the area better understand local law.
Foreign-related notarization services are available at the center every Tuesday and Thursday. Notaries from Qianhai Notary Office provide nine major kinds of foreign-related notarization services, including notarization of no record of crime, notarization of birth, notarization of fingerprints, and notarization of entrustment.
The center also has experts in foreign-related tax, visa and employment to answer your questions on site.
“Monthly Topic” is a brand activity of the center. Every month, lawyers, notaries and experts in different areas are invited to the center to give lectures and hold salons to answer foreign residents’ pressing questions. Additionally, the key points of “Monthly Topic” will be published in a Shenzhen Daily column.
