Main duties:
1. Prevent, stop, and investigate illegal criminal activities.
2. Maintain social order and prevent behaviors that endanger social order.
3. Responsible for road traffic safety and the maintenance of traffic order. Manage motor vehicles and drivers.
4. Lawfully conduct public safety management of non-military firearms and ammunition, controlled instruments, highly toxic chemicals, explosive hazardous chemicals, and civilian explosive materials.
5. Manage special industries as stipulated by laws and regulations.
6. Administer household registration, the city's entry and exit affairs, and management of foreigners.
7. Enforce penalties within the scope of legal duties.
8. Responsible for the security protection of public information networks, and information security classification.
