The overall average pre-tax salary in the Shenzhen human resources market is 7,825 yuan (US$1,197) per month in 2020, up by 6.3 percent year on year, a salary guidance report released by the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau showed.
At the high-end level, the average salary is 27,906 yuan per month, up by 3.5 percent year on year. At the medium level, the salary is 6,432 yuan per month, up by 10.4 percent. At the low-end level, the average salary is 3,320 yuan per month, up by 6.3 percent.
Employees in the information transmission, software and information technology industries earned 12,250 yuan per month on average. It is followed by 11,029 yuan per month in the health and social work industries, and 10,413 yuan per month in the financial industry. The salary of the accommodation and catering industries is 5,477 yuan per month.
In segmented industries, employees working in securities issuance earned 60,746 yuan per month, followed by securities investment employees at 40,006 yuan per month, and securities trading employees at 28,078 yuan per month.
The average salary of master’s and doctoral degree holders is 15,249 yuan per month. The salaries for bachelor’s degree holders, vocational education diploma holder and high school certificates holders are 11,652 yuan, 9,372 yuan and 5,981 yuan per month.
The average salaries for executives and managers at middle and lower levels are 21,450 yuan, 16,291 yuan and 8,231 yuan per month, the report showed.
The salary package is a pre-tax payroll that includes basic salary, bonus for work performance and efficiency, allowances, and extra salary for extra work. It does not include fees of social insurance and housing provident funds.
