SZ-Zhongshan Link undersea tunnel in progress

A vessel carrying the E19 tube to the under-construction underwater tunnel of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan link before it was put in place Sunday. The E19 tube was successfully installed in place on the west side of the undersea tunnel Sunday, only two days after the E24 tube was submerged in place on the east side of the tunnel. So far, the 6,845-meter-long tunnel has finished installation of 4,372.8 meters of immersed tubes. The link is expected to be put into use in 2024.
