Century-old SZ Railway Station enters hi-speed rail era

The train-crew captain of G2724 stands in front of the door of a carriage before the high-speed bullet train leaves Shenzhen Railway Station in Luohu District for Nanchang, capital of East China’s Jiangxi Province, yesterday. It was the first high-speed train leaving the station when the century-old station began to operate high-speed trains yesterday. First built in 1911, the station, also known as Luohu Railway Station, was reconstructed in 1990 and came into use in 1991.
