Five more community parks, all in either simple pastoral style or themed around law popularization, were officially opened in Nanshan recently, bringing the total number of community parks in the district to 169, according to the district’s urban administration bureau.
Yuexing Community Park is located at the intersection of Gaoxin South No. 9 Road and Yuexing No. 2 Road. Covering an area of 2,600 square meters, it was upgraded from a grass field into a Constitution popularization park.
Tianjing Park near the shopping center in Nanyou was newly renovated from a construction site. The 12,800-square-meter park has a big field of grass surrounded by a jogging track. Along the track, benches and potable water taps were installed for residents to rest and relax.
The 25,000-square-meter Caoben Park, near Shenzhen Arts School, was built from a land of industrial waste. As Nanshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital will be built nearby, the urban administration is planning to turn it into a park around the theme of traditional Chinese medicine.
Youran Park at the foot of Dananshan Moutain was a deserted litchi orchid. The urban administration turned it into a children-friendly park with facilities for sightseeing, rest and entertainment. The 3,400-square-meter Airong Community Park features Chinese roses.
