Major work on GBA’s fastest subway line completed

The joint of the last two steel rails is welded on the first 58.3-kilometer section of Guangzhou Metro Line 18 that will be put into service this year. Line 18 in the capital city of Guangdong Province, which will extend 62.7 kilometers in total length, will be the first subway line in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area with a maximum speed of 160 kilometers per hour. It links downtown Guangzhou with Nansha Free Trade Zone.
