50 minutes to turn bridge sections

A major bridge for the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Rail over the Dongjiang River in Dongyuan County of Heyuan City in Guangdong Province is under construction. It took 50 minutes Sept. 11 for the two giant sections of the bridge to turn on their pillars to be connected. The turning sections of the bridge extend 108 meters and weigh 15,000 tons. Additionally, with the completion of Baimianshi Tunnel recently, all tunnel work of the rail line in Huizhou section has finished. The Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Rail is expected to be operational in 2021.
