Ten key cultural projects involving a total investment of 2.85 billion yuan (US$410 million) were inked at the Cultural Industry Investment Promotion Conference of the 18th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center on Thursday.

The conference aimed to offer a platform for investment promotion as well as investment and financing services in the cultural industry for different parts of the country.

The 10 projects, which feature profound cultural connotation and mature business models, were selected among over 4,000 excellent cultural projects from 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country. They were organized to be signed on site at the conference.

This year, the conference further enriched its activities, and adopted the “1+3+N” mode, which refers to one keynote investment promotion conference and project signing ceremony, three cultural industry special exchange meetings, and several cultural project matchmaking meetings and on-site new product releases.

Nearly 400 leaders and guests from well-known domestic and international cultural enterprises, financial investment institutions and industry associations were invited to participate in the conference online and offline.

Yang Xiaolong, vice president of ENNOVA Culture, presented a number of competitive projects and project cooperation experience on behalf of cultural enterprises from Hebei Province.

At this year’s ICIF, the Hebei delegation has presented a total of 119 key cultural projects, which are mainly related to the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, the construction and development of Xiong’an New Area, the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Sports, Culture and Tourism Belt, and the construction of national cultural parks.

ICIF launched the cultural industry investment promotion conference for the first time last year, and it witnessed the signing of eight key projects on site involving a total investment of nearly 3.2 billion yuan.

The annual national cultural event gathers over 100,000 kinds of cultural and creative industries’ exhibits from home and abroad and displays over 4,000 cultural industry investment and financing projects every year, injecting strong impetus into the high-quality development of China’s cultural industry.

According to the event’s organizers, this year’s ICIF has made greater efforts to attract investment and exhibition.

Over 70% of the leading enterprises in the cultural industry have participated as exhibitors, and more than 40% of the cultural products and projects have debuted.
