Ferry services between Shekou, Macao to resume

Ferry services between Shekou and Macao will resume tomorrow with 16 ferries a day between Shekou Cruise Homeport and Macao’s Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal and Taipa Ferry Terminal, sources from the ferry operators said.


Passengers are required to present a negative nucleic acid test report issued within seven days upon entry to Macao, and a negative nucleic acid test report issued within 48 hours upon entry to Shenzhen.


Six ferries between Shekou and Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal will operate from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., while 10 ferries between Shekou and Taipa Ferry Terminal will operate from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.


In another development, the Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) called on all Guangdong citizens who have returned from outside the province since the National Day holiday to undergo a nucleic acid test within 48 hours, the health authority said Tuesday.


The Guangdong CDC also reminded residents who had traveled to Ejine Banner (county) in Alxa League (prefecture) of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region since the holiday, Shaanxi Province’s Xi’an and Gansu Province’s Lanzhou since Oct.15, Gansu’s Zhangye since Oct. 2 and Gansu’s Jiayuguan since Oct. 14 to report to authorities.
