Vehicles entering Dapeng and Meisha areas are required to make reservation during this year’s Dragon Boat Festival holiday, from Saturday to next Monday, sources from the city’s traffic police bureau said.
The regions involved include Dameisha, Xiaomeisha and Dapeng.
Minibuses with nine seats or below are required to book in advance online. The motors with 10 and above seats — buses, taxis, trucks, police cars, fire engines, ambulances, engineering emergency vehicles — and vehicles passing through the expressway to reach other places are not impacted by the regulations.
The online reservation channels are the “深圳交警” WeChat account (ID: szjjww), “深圳交警权威发布” WeChat account (ID: szjjqwfb), the Shenzhen Traffic Police official website and the “i深圳”(iShenzhen) app.
Three time slots, namely midnight to 12 p.m., 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to midnight are available for travelers to choose. Tourists will receive a message upon a successful booking.
There are both 30,000 reservation quotas for Meisha and Dapeng areas, and 20,000 of them will be provided to individuals and 10,000 to businesses.
