Shenzhen Railway Station handled 116 pairs of trains including 87 pairs of Guangzhou-Shenzhen bullet trains and 21 pairs of long-distance trains under the new schedule that took effect yesterday.
In high-speed train service, Shenzhen North Railway Station now handles 225 trains and 74 pairs of transit trains a day.
In addition, 7.5 pairs had changed sectional stations. G636/5 between Guangzhou and Huainan will be extended to Shenzhen North Railway Station.
D2283/6 between Shenzhen and Shanghai will be extended to Nantong and be renamed as D2286/3 D2284/5.
After the adjustment, six pairs of trains running on Guangzhou-Shenzhen Intercity Rail were arranged to stop only at major stations, cutting the trip between Guangzhou East Railway Station and Shenzhen Airport by 40 minutes to one hour and 10 minutes, according to the schedule.
