Three pairs of trains running on Guangzhou-Shenzhen High-speed Rail will extend service to Foshan West Station, according to the new schedule of the national railway network — taking effect tomorrow.

The three pairs of direct trains between Shenzhen and Foshan are D7102/1, D7106/5 and D7110/09, sources from the Shenzhen North Railway Station revealed yesterday.

Under the new schedule, a section of the route K34 between Shenzhen and Suzhou will be changed, but the trip between the two cities will cut 5 hours and 14 minutes from the journey. Sections of route T398 between Shenzhen and Qingdao, and route K116 between Shenzhen and Jiujiang will be changed to run on the Beijing-Kowloon Rail.

The North Railway Station will add 16.5 pairs of trains including 2.5 pairs of scheduled trains including G6144/3 between Shenzhen and Huaihua, G6240/39 with Guangzhou and D7402 to Chaoshan, and 14 pairs of trains during peak travel season.

Under the new schedule, Shenzhen Railway Station will operate 91 pairs of trains between Shenzhen and Guangzhou, and 21 pairs of long-distance regular trains. Shenzhen North Railway Station will operate 252 pairs of trains on the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-speed Rail, 152.5 pairs on the Hangzhou-Shenzhen Rail and 20 pairs on the Meizhou-Shantou Rail.
