The mobile COVID nucleic acid sampling booth was designed by a team from Shenzhen Micro Space Construction Technology Co. Ltd. led by Meng Jianmin, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering. The booth, equipped with a contactless sensor, pedal control disinfection system and air conditioner, can effectively protect medical workers from potential viral infection without wearing a hazmat suit. Shenzhen has set up nucleic acid sampling booths and mobile sampling workstations across the city to make it easier for citizens to get a test, according to earlier media reports.
