Longgang District downgrades as low-risk area for COVID

Longgang District has downgraded two medium-risk areas for COVID-19 to low-risk areas starting 9 p.m. Saturday, making the whole district as low-risk area for COVID-19.


The two areas downgraded are Building No. 55, Alley 8, Dongxinling, No. 1 Village, Buji Subdistrict and Fuchen Apartment, No. 2 Xihua Road, Shuijing Community, Jihua Subdistrict, according to a notice issued by the district’s COVID prevention and control headquarters office Saturday.


Meanwhile, from 9 p.m. Saturday, lockdown restrictions were lifted at Fuchen Apartment (including blocks A and B), as well as the enclosed area covering Xihuan Road-Baoda Street-Dapo Road-Jihua Road (including Xinda small commodity wholesale market) in Jihua Subdistrict.


Starting yesterday, Longgang also lifted lockdown restrictions at Building 3C, Jinyubanshan Phase 3; Building F, Boyu Apartment; as well as Shenzhen Tebian Technology Industrial Park at Luogang Community in Buji Subdistrict.


In Luohu District, lockdown restrictions were also lifted at Block C, Shuibei Wanshan Jewelry Industrial Park, and Blocks A and B of No. 2 Building in Shuikuxincun, as well as the area east of Beili North Road, south of Shuibei 1 Road, west of Cuizhu Road, north of Tianbei 4 Road, and Cuijing Building in Cuizhu Subdistrict, starting yesterday.


Buildings 58 and 64, Hewei Village, Qingshuihe Subdistrict in Luohu District remained the city’s only medium-risk locations as of 3 p.m. yesterday.


Strict COVID prevention and control measures, including temperature and health code checks, mask mandates and social gathering restrictions, are still in place in these areas.


Shenzhen reported no new locally transmitted COVID cases from Wednesday to Saturday.
