Changsha, capital of Central China’s Hunan Province, held a conference yesterday at Wuzhou Guest House in Futian District to attract investment from Shenzhen and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

A total of 51 projects valued around 63.2 billion yuan (US$9.8 billion) were signed during the event, including 46 projects with GBA investors.

Nearly 300 guests from Shenzhen and Guangzhou in various fields such as advanced manufacturing, finance, technological innovation and modern services attended the event.

Wu Guiying, Changsha’s Party chief, said at the conference that the connection between Changsha and Shenzhen has become closer and the two cities are facing valuable cooperation opportunities as the country’s “dual circulation” development paradigm and the construction of the GBA are being pushed further.

The event was part of Changsha’s efforts to develop Hunan’s advanced manufacturing industry and technological innovation, as well as to expand reform and opening up in the country’s inland areas.
