Three close contacts of a COVID-19 confirmed case in the city of Quanzhou in Fujian Province have been to cities including Shenzhen, according to a circular issued by the COVID-19 emergency command office of Quanzhou Taiwan Investment Zone yesterday, Nanfang Plus reported.
At present, the three close contacts and their secondary close contacts are undergoing centralized medical observation in the zone, and their nucleic acid test results were all negative.
According to the close contacts’ travel trajectories, the first close contact took train D3333 to Shenzhen at 8:01 a.m. Sept. 6 and arrived at the Shenzhen North Railway Station at 11:37 a.m.
The first close contact was reported to have visited three companies in Longgang, Futian and Guangming districts before leaving Shenzhen via train D2314 at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 7.
The second close contact also took train D3333 to Shenzhen at 8:01 a.m. Sept. 6, had lunch near the Shenzhen North Railway Station and took train D2326 to neighboring Dongguan at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 7.
The third close contact had the same travel trajectory as the second one between Sept. 6 and 7.
Separately, Shenzhen reported one imported confirmed and one imported asymptomatic COVID-19 cases yesterday.
The confirmed case, a male of Chinese nationality, was an imported asymptomatic case previously reported Saturday.
The new asymptomatic case is a male Chinese national returning from Liberia. He flew to Shenzhen from Nairobi, Kenya, on Aug. 28.
The two cases were quarantined upon entry and were later sent to the emergency wards of Shenzhen Third People’s Hospital for treatment. They are currently in stable condition.
