This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Keeping pace with studying the Party’s history, Guangming District launched its Guangming Convergence Media APP 3.0 on June 17, 2021. Focusing on “high quality and gorgeous cityscape,” the Guangming Convergence Media APP 3.0 embraces more comprehensive columns and more exquisite page settings.
Since its official launch on November 7, 2019, the Guangming Convergence Media APP has fully integrated the news resources of various media, to bring first-hand authoritative information to netizens through videos, audio and text, and other modalities. Up to now, the APP has been downloaded nearly 250,000 times and has released more than 30,000 pieces of news and information. In total, the Guangming Convergence Media APP has given full play to the function of “media + government affairs+ services” and is a comprehensive service platform at the fingertips of its users.
The Guangming Convergence Media APP attaches great importance to producing high-quality content and interpreting the development of Guangming District in an well-rounded way. It has published a series of reports on key issues of Guangming, including the construction of Guangming Science City, the COVID-19 control, the Party Congress and the two sessions.
The reports have been read more than 100,000 times, which brought the voice of Guangming “out of the local area circle.” To follow the pace of constructing the world’s leading science city, the Guangming Convergence Media APP set up the first English news column in Shenzhen —“Guangming News in English.”

Aimed at “discovering and spreading Guangming news, and telling Guangming stories”, the Guangming Convergence Media APP 3.0 revised the column “Ming Xin Bridge,” making it an online platform where people can share their daily life stories, opinions and suggestions. The newly revised “Ming Xin Bridge” consists of two sub-columns, namely “Guangming Moments” and “Citizens Mailbox.” The “Guangming Moments” sub-column is open to users to post their daily life stories and share their memories of Guangming. They can also watch other’s moments in the sub-column and interact with others by selecting the like icon, leaving comments, and sharing information. Additionally, users are able to add tags when they post their moments. With the launch of the Guangming Convergence Media APP 3.0, a new feature has been activated to allow app users share pictures and videos of a “quality and beautiful Guangming District.” The users can also reflect on problems they may have found such as those related to the urban environment, traffic, sports facilities and public services on the “Ming Xin Bridge” column by adding the tag “shooting the quality and cityscape of Guangming District”. After verification, the relevant authorities will correct the problems collected in the column.
