Electricians from China Southern Power Grid Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau check a power-supply device. Electricity consumption in Shenzhen has been growing rapidly since the start of the year, and as the peak usage approaches, the city’s power supply bureau is taking measures to ensure regular power consumption and customer service. In the first five months of this year, electricity consumption in Shenzhen jumped 26.7 percent year on year, reaching a total of 36.57 billion kWh.
