Shenzhen citizens were seen traveling in an orderly manner although strengthened anti-pandemic measures were put in place in the city’s key transport hubs and major Metro stations starting Monday, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported yesterday.

At Shenzhen North Railway Station, banners reminding travelers to present health codes before entering the station and circulars stating that nucleic acid test results need to be checked for leaving Guangdong Province could be seen at visible locations in the station, according to the reporter with the Daily.

Starting 12 p.m. Monday, when leaving the province, train passengers in Shenzhen will be required to present green health codes using the WeChat miniprogram“粤省事” (yueshengshi), and provide a negative result of nucleic acid test done within 72 hours of departure.

At the entrances of the railway station, the staff with the station have already set up different channels for interprovincial and intra-provincial travelers. Each channel has two workers, wearing protective clothing, for the inspection of health information.

According to the reporter, most passengers have been coming to the station prepared, with some carrying paper test results, while others use electronic versions.

The Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport, starting Monday, has also been requiring all passengers leaving Shenzhen to present their green health codes and valid negative nucleic acid test results.

In addition to staff for health information inspection, the airport has also organized volunteers and service personnel to remind passengers to prepare relevant supporting materials in advance and help passengers who need to go through the procedures of refund and change.

Metro riders entering major stations in the city are also required to show green health codes on the WeChat miniprogram“粤省事”for inspection.

At Zhuzilin Metro Station on Monday afternoon, a reporter found that QR codes, which passengers can quickly scan to pull up their health code on their phones, have been posted on the railings of the passageway and the security inspection machine.

Citizens have made preparations in advance and cooperated with the measures, and so the Metro station remained in order, even all the way through evening rush hour, said the Daily.
