Traffic police to patrol with drones

A traffic police officer tests a drone. Starting April 1, a batch of 200 police officers will carry out patrols with their motorcycles and drones. Shenzhen Traffic Police Department will equip its trooper team with 130 drones made by DJI, and will give them professional training, sources from the news conference jointly held by Shenzhen traffic police and DJI said Wednesday. The drones can record offenses, giving verbal instructions or warnings and identify plate numbers.
