SZ to hold intl. forum targeting low carbon development

The City Green Development Forum 2020 and the 8th Shenzhen International Low Carbon City Forum will be held from Sunday to Tuesday.


The forum will highlight green recovery, green governance and global action as a way to seek economic recovery amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.


Affected by the pandemic, the forum will be held both online and offline. Guests from within the country will attend the offline session while those from foreign countries will join the event and deliver speeches via the online session.


The event includes a main forum, seven subforums including the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area green development forum, green finance forum and energy forum, three seminars and other supporting activities.


This year’s event will continue to hold a road show for low carbon technologies.


It is reported that more than 120 green projects of investment value were selected from more than 20 countries and regions, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Denmark, to be displayed on the road show held online via technologies like 3D virtual reality.


Other projects related to electric vehicles and battery power will be launched during the event.


The forum will be held under the guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission, Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and Shenzhen Municipal Government.
