Nanshan District is planning to launch a new policy to reward excellent construction enterprises that are newly settled in the district with a one-off reward of 2 million yuan (US$295,400), Shenzhen Economic Daily reported yesterday.
According to the draft rules, which are soliciting public opinions until Sunday, a one-off subsidy of 2 million yuan will be given to quality construction enterprises; either they are newly moved to Nanshan or local companies that have just obtained special qualification of the construction industry.
For construction enterprises with outstanding performances, the draft proposes that locally registered general contractors who have been awarded the China Construction Engineering Luban Prize for construction projects undertaken in other cities will be given a one-off subsidy of 400,000 yuan.
The China Construction Engineering Luban Prize is known as the highest construction industry award in China.
If the project undertaken in other cities has won the National Quality Engineering Award or the Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize, a one-off subsidy of 300,000 yuan will be given to the general contractor. Enterprises can only enjoy the subsidy once a year, according to the draft.
For local construction enterprises whose output value was more than 1 billion yuan in the previous year and the annual output growth increased by more than 50 percent, a one-off subsidy of 500,000 yuan will be granted by the district.
In terms of high-quality construction projects, a one-off subsidy of 2 million yuan will be given to the general contractor who has won the Luban Prize for a construction project undertaken in Nanshan.
Those who have won the National Quality Engineering Award or the Tien-yow Jeme Civil Engineering Prize will be given a one-off subsidy of 1.5 million yuan.
For a prefabricated building demonstration project, the subsidy is 100 yuan per square meter of construction area. The maximum amount of subsidy for a single project shall not exceed 1 million yuan.
