Affordabel helicopter tours from downtown Shenzhen to Dapeng’s Golden Bay will soon be put into service, announced Kaisa International Resorts Group, a Shenzhen-based investment group, that signed an agreement Wednesday with HELI-EASTERN, a low-altitude flight operator.

According to their strategic cooperation framework agreement, Kaisa Group will explore cooperation with the flight operator helicopter tours, low-altitude traffic operations, aviation club management, emergency rescue and more. The two also agreed to develop the Kaisa Golden Bay Resort into a low-altitude tourism, research and education base.

Shenzhen was the first Chinese city to be allowed to provide helicopter sightseeing services. On May 8, the Shenzhen Municipal Government signed a memorandum with the Central South Regional Administration of the Civil Aviation of China to promote the development of the city’s commercial aviation and low-altitude tourism, which helps Shenzhen usher in the era of low-altitude flying.

The Kaisa Golden Bay Resort is situated on Dapeng Peninsula, and covers an area of 1.5 square kilometers. With an investment of 30 billion yuan (US$4.3 billion), it features luxury hotels, shopping malls, seashore lifestyle and attractions including a water park, aquarium, sports center, arctic experience and more.
