Liangmaoshan Station and Shuangyongjie Station on Metro Line 10 passed the contact net-powered test Tuesday, marking a step closer to the opening of the line scheduled for this June.
The line will help improve the traffic situation in the Meilin Checkpoint area, share traffic with Line 4 and end the history of having no Metro service in the areas of Pinghu, Banxuegang, Huawei New Town and eastern Meilin Checkpoint.
Line 10 starts at Futian Checkpoint Station and ends at Shuangyongjie Station in Longgang, with 24 stations, including nine interchange stations.
The extension of Line 4 will be put into operation at the end of 2020. The rail project for the line was completed Tuesday, paving the way for the following installation of equipment, joint tests and decoration. The 10.8-km line runs northward from Qinghu Station along Heping Road and Guanlan Boulevard, and ends at Niuhu Station. It has eight stations, including three interchange stations with Line 18, the Line 10 spur line and the Longhua tram line.
