Shenzhen Meteorological observatory issued a citywide yellow alert for a cold front at 4 p.m. yesterday.

The observatory advised residents to stay warm and wear appropriate clothing to mitigate the effects of the chilly conditions. Residents are also reminded to keep good ventilation while taking showers to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning.

The lowest temperatures today and tomorrow are expected to plunge to around 6 degrees Celsius, according to the latest forecast. In response to the anticipated cold spell, cold shelters have been opened to provide refuge for those in need.

The strong cold air has caused a significant drop in temperatures today, accompanied by scattered rain and wind gusts reaching levels 7 to 8. Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy with light rain.

Temperatures are expected to experience a slight increase Wednesday and Thursday; however, chilly conditions will persist during the morning and evening hours.
