Situated near the Qianhai International Convention Center, Bauhinia Park is a memorial city park with unique historical meaning. As the first to collect, protect and exhibit Bauhinia plants in the South China area, Bauhinia Park symbolizes the profound friendship between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, since the park's first phrase project finished during the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.

Among the 300 arbors in the park, 200 are Bauhinia species. In addition to the six varieties of Bauhinia variegata, Bauhinia × blakeana, Bauhinia variegata var. Candida, Cercis yunnanensis, Bauhinia galpinii, and Cheniella Corymbosa, the park added new trees such as Bauhinia tomentosa and Bauhinia hupehana.
