Introduction to the Park Featured attractions

Adjacent to Yanba Expressway and Pingkui Road, Kuichong Ecological Sports Park locates at the Kuichong Exit of Yanba Expressway, Dapeng New Area, with an area of 86,700 square meters. The whole park was divided into Phase 1 and Phase 2, covering about 33,200 square meters and 53,500 square meters (including 10,000 square meters of water areas) respectively. The park has constructed a sculpture of the "city of mountains and seas" gateway logo and the artwork themed "Dapeng welcomes all." Besides, the all-age children's playground, the Egret Pavilion Book Cafe, as well as the ecological barrier-free toilet all become vital parts of the scenery.

(1)Sculpture of the "city of mountains and seas" gateway logo

By adopting an abstract artistic approach, a curved steel structure was used to create the wave-shaped sculpture, featuring "mountains and seas." The sculpture has a total of three groups, meaning "side peaks", "main peaks" and "supporting peaks". The blue, orange and red night lighting effects represent "deep blue secret," "history and humanity" and "red memory," symbolizing the natural beauty of the sea, historic and humanistic imprints like Dapeng Ancient Town, and the Dongjiang revolutionary spirit respectively. The sculpture distinctively marks Dapeng New Area in a new era.

(2)The immersive all-age children park.

Kui Chong Ecological Sports Park covers an area of 1,200 square meters, with 16 sets of children's playing facilities. The park contains body exercising area as its main facility, super trampoline, water leisure area and so on, becoming a must-visit spot for parent-child families.

(3)The Egret Pavilion

Pavilion in Chinese has a homophonic meaning of the verb "lingering," and as the result, the Chinese name of Egret Pavilion embodies people's pure hope to let egrets stay, as well as the well-balanced ecology. Located under the sightseeing corridor of the Ecological Sports Park Phase 2, the pavilion owns a concise, tranquil and elegant space for reading and writing, which is also an exquisite spot for parent-child reading, nature education, and a poetic lifestyle.
