Introduction to the Park Featured attractions

Haishan Park covers an area of 56,395 square meters and it was completed and opened to the public on Oct. 1, 2000. The main attractions include the Haishan Art Tower, Plum Blossom Pavilion, Landscape Chessboard and others. The park is built along the mountain, following the basic principles of Chinese garden creation, while also enjoying a Western architectural style. Chess culture is one of the important elements of Haishan Park, where internationally renowned chess masters Lyu Qin and Hu Ronghua once played chess against each other.

As the major signature in the park, the Haishan Art Tower is inspired by the renowned Spanish architect Antoni Gaudi's designs, as if it had broken out of the ground and blended with the surrounding environment.

The Plum Blossom Pavilion symbolizes the ability to withstand severe cold and have an iron spirit.

The Flower Clock is decorated with flowers, which are blooming throughout the year, with the moral of cherishing the time.

The Fitness Path connects the east and west parts of the main park and the road is paved by cobblestones.

The Landscape Chessboard covers 687 square meters, with a colorful foliage plants embellishment. It is the largest landscape chessboard in the world, as certified by the Guinness World Records.
