Introduction to the Park Featured attractions

Shenzhen Garden Science Park occupies around 2.5 hectares and is situated at the intersection of Dongmen North Road and Aiguo Road in Shenzhen's Luohu District. The park was originally the arboretum of the Shenzhen Institute of Garden Science, the city's earliest arboretum. To accommodate the fitness and recreational needs of the local community, the arboretum was renamed as Garden Science Park and officially opened to the public in April 2007.

With lush forests and elegant scenery, the park has a total of 131 species of plants of 61 families and 108 genera, such as Saraca dives, crape myrtle (Lagerstroemia indica) and others. It has become a precious gene pool of trees in Shenzhen, and it is also an excellent place for the nearby primary and secondary school students to carry out the "popularization of plant science and ecological education."

Garden Science Park is dedicated to creating a landscape of ornamental plants of the Acanthaceae family, with more than 20 species of Acanthaceae plants as the featured plants. The park is also equipped with a 5G smart fitness area and a spacious sunny lawn on the east side, which is popular among the neighboring citizens and tourists.
