Introduction to the Park Featured attractions

First constructed in 1987, the park which took up an area of 135,710 square meters was the first park in the Shekou area, and is among the first few free parks open to citizens in China. In 2018, Nanshan District upgraded Sihai Park and transformed it into an all-age borderless central lakefront park.

At the center of the park stands a 30-meter-high mighty golden ox, with a fire ball on its back. It is a symbol of the pioneering spirit of Shenzhen's reform and opening up. The park, with typical Lingnan-style landscape, is dotted with pavilions, terraces, corridors and bridges. Among the flowers and bamboo, the chirping of birds and insects echoes with the loud reading from students nearby, creating a harmonious and pleasant environment.
