A one-off subsidy that will be offered by the Qianhai authority to Hong Kong-funded catering enterprises starting businesses in the free trade area was unveiled at a seminar Friday afternoon. It is the latest effort to create a living environment similiar to Hong Kong in Qianhai while deepening Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation.

The Qianhai authority will also subsidize office rent for the newly registered Hong Kong catering enterprises for three consecutive years, according to Liu Guilin, vice director of the Qianhai authority.

Representatives of more than 140 Hong Kong catering enterprises were attracted to the event, personally and online. They were briefed on the commercial facilities that are available for the catering business. They were also advised to take a trip around the commercial facilities.

Bernard Chan Pak-li, vice director of Hong Kong Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, applauded Qianhai’s new move, saying that it will facilitate Hong Kong catering businesses to tap the mainland market.
