Bao'an District is trying to be a transport center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) whose transportation radium can reach GBA core cities within an hour and the Pearl River’s western bank in 30 minutes.
According to a Bao’an transportation plan, Bao’an will construct an international transportation hub by fully utilizing the combined advantages of air, land and rail resources.
By 2025, Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport’s international railway network will reach 100 global destinations.
During 2021-2025, the district will push forward the construction of the Airport East Transport Hub, which is integrated with Shenzhen-Maoming High-speed Railway, Guangzhou-Shenzhen Second High-speed Railway, Shenzhen-Daya Bay Intercity Railway, and Metro Lines 12 and 20. It will push forward with the planning and construction of Shenzhen-Hong Kong Western Express Rail Link that connects T3 of the Shenzhen airport with Hong Kong International Airport. The Airport East Transport Hub will be put into operation in 2025, in time with the operation of the Shenzhen section of Shenzhen-Maoming Expressway, which goes westward passing the Pearl River to connect with southwestern Guangdong cities.
