In terms of technology, Shenzhen is approved to buildthe national gene bank during the process of biodiversity conservation and construction of its ecological culture. It is the fourth national-level and the biggest gene bank in the world. The Shenzhen National Gene Bank, managed by the Beijing Genomics institution, is the only approved national gene bank in China as a national project which is committed to facilitating life science research, innovation and industry incubation.
