Founded on May 3, 1985, Shenzhen Experimental School is the first public school run by the government after the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone. Directly under the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, it is one of the first batch of class-one schools in Guangdong Province. Its Senior High School Department is one of the first batch of State-level demonstration senior high schools in Guangdong. As a large-scale experimental and demonstration school integrating all learning stages and implementing integrated management, it currently has two campuses (Xili Campus and Baihua Campus) and four departments (Senior High School Department, Middle School Department, Junior High School Department and Primary School Department) with a total of nearly 700 faculty members and 7,000 students.
