Enterprises are encouraged to attend key overseas exhibitions in the first half of the year, with subsidies provided from both municipal and district levels.

The municipal finance department will also arrange consumption coupons worth 100 million yuan for spending on family reunion dinners during New Year’s Eve and the Lantern Festival.

Each district and new area will launch consumption coupon promotional activities, giving out the coupons in the form of digital RMB red envelopes.

The city will give a subsidy of up to 1 million yuan according to 30% of the total amount of consumption vouchers issued by enterprises for launching major commercial projects between Dec. 1, 2022 and Jan. 21, 2023, and actively holding festivals and promotional activities.

On Thursday, the Shenzhen Municipal Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports Bureau released a series of measures with subsidies to enrich citizens’ cultural and sports activities during the Spring Festival holiday and promote the recovery of tourism consumption. The measures will be valid until June 30.

In the first quarter of this year, 8 million yuan worth of sports consumption vouchers will be issued through the one-stop reservation platform for the city’s sports venues.

Star-rated hotels and tourist attractions are encouraged to jointly launch vacation packages for sea-friendly experience, camping and festival shopping. Ten million yuan worth of consumption vouchers will be arranged for purchasing package products.

A-level scenic spots in the city are supported to sell tickets at preferential prices from Jan. 15 to March 31, and give free entrance to Hong Kong and Macao residents who visit the scenic spots for the first time from Jan. 21 to 27.

The city will fork out 15 million yuan of subsidies to the scenic spots according to their preferential ticket policies.

For travel agencies that organize night tours to Shenzhen in the first quarter, a reward of up to 300,000 yuan will be given according to the standard of 100 yuan per person.
